Company Update

Charity of the Year

Last month we announced that we have become corporate partners of Brain Tumour Research UK. This is a charity very close to our hearts and a cause we feel passionate about as a company. The decision came after we had already participated in their Wear a Christmas Hat Day in December and decided to participate in the Glasgow Kiltwalk to raise much needed funds for them again. Becoming a corporate partner has allowed us to work closely with the Scottish community fundraising officer who supported us in a number of ways with the Kiltwalk and we look forward to working on more events with them. You can read the full blog on why we decided to become corporate sponsors on their website here.

Kiltwalk

Our team completed the Kiltwalk at the end of April in Glasgow. We walked varying distances in aid of our charity of the year. We were incredibly lucky with the weather on the scenic route to Loch Lomond. Thanks to the generosity of our friends, family and colleagues we were able to raise a total of £1,530! The Hunter Foundation very generously top-up any donations made to the Kiltwalk and so the final sum given to Brain Tumour Research from Channel Finance Group is £2,295!

Asset Finance Networking

ScotPlant 2022 landed at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh on Friday 22nd April. Our asset finance expert and CEO, Michael attended the event. He was able to meet with many old and new faces from the asset finance and construction industries. This was a great opportunity to scope out all the latest machinery and technology in construction so we can offer our clients a complete knowledge of what they need to keep their business expanding and thriving.

Football Updates

Last month, Michael was fortunate enough to get tickets to see the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals match between Motherwell and Hibernian at Fir Park. While Motherwell did not get the result they wanted, our clients thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality experience provided by the amazing team at Fir Park. Another great trip to Fir Park in April was to support the Motherwell Women’s team getting their first game at the main club stadium this season. The combination of free admission and Easter weekend meant there was a great turnout and lots of families. The atmosphere was amazing and we were delighted to see our company name on the Motherwell strips.
